Steering Committee Job Descriptions


BOOK DISCUSSION LEADER

·       Selects book for the discussion.

·       Sets date and time for the discussion.

·       Finds a location for the discussion.

·       Publicizes the discussion to the membership and encourages participation.

·       Coordinates registration for the discussion.

·       Prepares for the discussion, including research on the book and the author, and develops a list of questions to use at the discussion.

·       On the day of the discussion, makes sure room is set up appropriately.

·       Provides refreshments and nametags.

·       May provide handouts.

·       Welcomes the participants and leads the discussion.

·       Informs the participants about plans for the next discussion.
