Adult Reading Round Table Steering Committee Job Descriptions |
|
ARRTWorks, the Adult Reading Round Table newsletter, is published 3 times a year, in spring, fall, and winter. Ideally, the newsletter gets distributed to members within 6 weeks after the most recent ARRT program. The newsletter editor is responsible for the writing, the layout, and the distribution of the newsletter. Articles and ideas can be solicited from other members of the ARRT Steering Committee. At times, it is possible for an ARRT member to submit an idea or write an article for an edition of the newsletter. The newsletter summarizes recent programs, publicizes upcoming programs, and if space allows, also reviews new Readers’ Advisory resources, reports on Readers’ Advisory activities at conferences, summarizes recent journal articles on Readers’ Advisory, and suggests read-a-likes. The newsletter may include photos supplied by the ARRT Steering Committee photographer. Once the editor(s) has completed the newsletter, it gets e-mailed to the Steering Committee Chair for proofing and approval. Upon approval, the Newsletter Editor (or Chair) e-mails the newsletter to the Membership Coordinator for e-mail distribution. The Newsletter Editor will work with the Web Page Coordinator to work the newsletter into the website. |
